The transition from the previous DM.01-AV data model to the new DMAV marks a decisive step for official surveying in Switzerland. All cantons and municipalities must migrate their systems by the end of 2027. Many surveying firms still work with customized DM.01-AV structures that have been expanded at the cantonal level. This diversity complicates both migration and data exchange. Added to this are time constraints, a lack of resources, and varying cantonal requirements for the implementation of DMAV.
