In a current major project, the steel construction company Unger Steel is to install a new production line in an existing hall at a galvanizing plant in Germany. For this complex construction - a hall in the 310-metre-long and 75-metre-wide steel hall from the 1970s - a digital as-built survey was carried out for the first time using a 3D laser scanner. The senior planner relied on rmDATA Reality3D and rmDATA's expertise for the evaluation.
The account manager supported Unger Steel with expert advice right from the quotation phase. Together with the senior planner, he defined what the surveyor needed to pay attention to in order to ensure optimum data quality for further processing.
